About Us

At-Taqwa Mosque was officially opened in the year 2000.  The centre consists of three main sections which is the main prayer hall, the sister’s section and the top floor which accommodates three classrooms as well as the office of the centre.  Among the other facilities, the centre has is a fully equipped kitchen, storage areas and Wudu (ablution) facilities for both men and women.  

The need for the centre began in 1997 and it took around three years to collect the necessary funding required to establish this small but vibrant centre.  Originally, the building was the Sign Post Pub but by the will of Allah now it is a place of worship, learning and a centre that brings the local and wider community together.
